AER Lingus seems to be doing everything right at the moment after years in the doldrums. The sponsors of the Belfast Giants ice hockey team have got some unlikely publicity after the team’s Christmas video has gone global, with over 250,000 hits in the 24 hours since its launch earlier this week.

The YouTube video features 20 professional ice hockey players — in full gear and Christmas costumes — dancing and lip-syncing to Mariah Carey’s song ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ in Belfast. The Giants even garnered a special tribute from Mariah on Twitter, after she tweeted to her 3.5 million fans about the video.
