Mariah Carey’s stay at the top of the charts didn’t last very long.

Her latest disc, “E=MC2″ (8,000), which debuted at No. 1 last week, was relegated to the No. 4 spot, selling just 8,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan data.

Blasting past Mimi was Eric Lapointe’s “Ma Peau” (17,000) at No. 1, Ariane Moffatt’s “Dans Tous Les Sens” (14,000) at No. 2, and Leona Lewis’ “Spirit” at No. 3.

Francis Cabrel’s “Des Roses et Des Orties” checked in at No. 5, the “Juno” soundtrack fell one position to No. 6, and Jack Johnson’s “Sleep Through the Static” slipped three to No. 7.

Ashlee Simpson’s “Color Outside the Lines” spent its first week at No. 8, Miley Cyrus’ “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds Concert” sank six notches to No. 9, and Tokyo Police Club’s “Elephant Shell” rounded out the top 10 at No. 10.

Other notable first week entries included Whitesnake’s “Good To Be Bad” at No. 23, Story of the Year’s “The Black Swan” at No. 29, Flight of the Conchords’ self-titled disc at No. 34, and Cancer Bats’ “Hail Destroyer” at No. 49.

In the U.S., Mariah Carey remained in first, followed by Leona Lewis in second, Flight of the Conchords in third, Ashlee Simpson in fourth, and Atmosphere’s “When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That S**t Gold” in fifth.
