Cannon wants to make film with Carey

Nick Cannon wants to make a film with Mariah Carey.

The rapper-and-presenter claims his spouse is the funniest person he knows and he would love for them to show off her comedic talents in a joint venture.

He said: “I’d love to do a film with Mariah. But it would have to be a comedy. She’s the funniest woman in the world, she just cracks me up all the time.”

Mariah’s most recent big screen outing was as a dowdy social worker in ‘Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire’ and she admits she felt “tortured” by the role, although she believes it has made her a better person.

She said: “It was definitely a commitment to be seen looking that bad. I love Lee Daniels, the director, but he’s a sick man. He wanted to torture me.

“But you know, it freed me in a lot of ways. I don’t worry about certain things in the same way any more.”

Mariah Carey’s Angels Advocate shifts to May release?

According to Jump Smoker’s latest twitter update, their Mariah Carey vs Jump Smokers remix album has been pushed to be released at the end of May 2010.

Meanwhile HMV UK are reporting a new release date for Mariah Carey’s Angels Advocate of 26 April, 2010 (previously 29 March), while Amazon UK have removed the release from pre-order.

Carey plays up tot talk

Mariah Carey has fuelled speculation she is pregnant with her first child - saying “something special” is about to happen.

The singer, 39, talking of her next career move, said: “I’m talking to a director about three movies.”

But Mariah, married to singer Nick Cannon and rumored to be adopting an orphan, said: “There’s also something special on the way. I can’t say anymore.”

Decked out in a midnight blue Valentino gown accessorised with plenty of bling, the singer told how she did not normally wear a watch.

She said: “I don’t normally care what time it is. It’s irrelevant,” adding that she was on “Mariah time”.

Mariah Carey apologises for arriving late to LA Angels Advocate gig

Mariah Carey may be a legendary pop diva, but even she said sorry for showing up over an hour late to her Angels Advocate gig in LA.

It’s not like a diva to say sorry.

But the unthinkable has happened – Mariah Carey grovelled on stage to fans after they booed her for showing up an hour late.

Mimi publicly admitted she was a ‘tardy’ lass after finally turning up to her last Angels Advocate gig in Las Vegas.

As the crowd rounded on her, the 39-year-old claimed she was poorly. ‘I’d like to apologise for my tardiness,’ she said.

The diva explained she had needed to see her doctor before performing. ‘I was very grateful I could get some sleep and we could pull it together. It’s not so glam when you’re coughing and sounding like a frog at 6.30am,’ she added.
