Mariah Carey To Release New Album Inspired By Family

The ‘Hero’ singer is recording her thirteenth studio album after taking time off to start a family.

Mariah Carey’s husband Nick Cannon has revealed the singer has started working on a new album.

The ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ singer gave birth to the couple’s first children back in April 2011, and is now working on the follow-up to her last release, 2009′s ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’.

“My beautiful wife is planning to make her return to the music scene after taking time off to focus on the pregnancy and the birth of our two wonderful babies, Moroccan and Monroe,” Nick posted on his official website earlier today (30th January).

“She’s rejuvenated and ready to start sharing some of the amazing new music she has been making in the studio!” he explained. “Our new family has definitely given her a great new source of inspiration and creativity.”

Nick added. “I’m so proud of her and can’t wait for her to release more phenomenal music!”

Earlier this month Nick Cannon was hospitalized after suffering “mild kidney failure”, and Mariah gave fans several updates on his condition throughout his hospital stay.

Nick Cannon: ‘Mariah Carey And I Are Hopeless Romantics’

Nick Cannon has spilled the details on his relationship with Mariah Carey, describing themselves as “hopeless romantics.”

The TV presenter and the diva married back in 2008 amid criticism that their relationship wouldn’t work, but three years and twin babies later, the couple appear to be stronger than ever.

“Mariah and I are both hopeless romantics,” Nick told Bleu magazine.

“We just made a pact to say that we want to be in this because we enjoy each other and we love each other…We want to be successful at being in a relationship; we want to have a good time.”

“A relationship shouldn’t seem like something you have to work at; it is not a task. We always wanted a fairy tale relationship…and the drama that normally comes with it, we [can] do without.”

The couple are said to have grown even closer recently as a result of Nick’s kidney failure.

Nick Cannon insists Mariah Carey is too big for X Factor USA 2012

Nick Cannon has rubbished reports that his wife, Mariah Carey, will be joining the panel for The X Factor USA.

The America’s Got Talent host was responding to reports that Simon Cowell had persuaded the ‘Hero’ hitmaker to join him as a judge on the hit Fox series and insisted that being a judge on the show would be a “step down” in his wife’s career.

Speaking on his radio show “Rollin’ With Nick Cannon” earlier today, the handsome star said:

“Like Nicole Scherzinger, my wife is not a fan of judging people. Nicole actually did say that she is used to performing, and the judging thing is not really natural for her.”

“I really think that a lot of entertainers feel that way and I think these shows are really good shows, but when you get someone of status, or just big-time, career-wise, to do these shows, I personally think it’s a step down.”

Cannon added:

“Why would would my wife want to be on a show like that? For somebody who has a legendary career, I don’t know why they would do that.”

Cannon then turned his attention to Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, saying that he now views him in a “different light” since he joined American Idol.

However he does not think less of radio DJ Howard Stern, after he joined “America’s Got Talent” because he thinks Stern is not doing it to boost his career.

Mariah’s tears at hubby and son’s stage tribute‎

MARIAH Carey shed a tear when she was honoured on stage by her son and husband.

The singer — flaunting her curves in a nude gown with black sequin pattern — was given a Best Entertainer prize at Saturday’s BET Awards in Washington DC.

She welled up when hubby Nick Cannon — who is recovering after suffering kidney failure over Christmas — and Morrocan took to the stage in tuxedos.

But she recovered when explaining daughter Monroe’s absence, and quipped: “We were both sewn into our dresses, so she could not make it out.”

Cheeky Nick added: “She’s heavy. She’s a diva like her mama.”

America’s Got Talent host Nick’s appearance came less than a month after he was hospitalised over the New Year.

At the time, Mariah had posted a snap of herself hugging him in a hospital bed, tweeting: “Please pray for our Nick as he’s fighting to recover.”

A Carey-Cannon Christmas

Christmas wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t spend it with my Christmas family, Mr and Mrs Cannon (Mariah and Nick) and their extended family annually in Aspen. This year was as wonderful as past years where we attend Midnight Mass, ride horse sleighs through the snow, take the dogs (JJ, Cha Cha, Jill E Beans and crew) for their snowy walks, go to the top of mountains and watch as skiers and snowboarders do their thing, visit Joan Boyce’s diamond store, eat Mariah’s delicious home cooked treats and decorate the Christmas tree!

As if those treats weren’t enough, this year we were joined by 2 new additions that had been in mummy’s tummy last Christmas- the Cannon baby twins otherwise known as Ms Monroe and Moroccan Scott aka #dembabies!. Many fun hours playing, feeding and cuddling were had by us all! -What an amazing way to kick off 2012-being Auntie Jasmine to 2 little gorgeous bundles of fun! Give me another couple of years and I will have them putting on English accents and playing dress up!! sadly nick then came down with a kidney problem and was hospitalised-get well soon brother! London wants to see you out here soon with your Mrs when you come to do your comedy specials!

Dem Babies first New Year! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon colour-coordinate with the twins for NYE in Aspen

Glamorous Mariah Carey was always going to ensure her children were dressed immaculately for their very first New Year’s Eve celebration.

And the singer, 41, went one step further, dressing to match her twins Monroe and Moroccan as they stepped out in Aspen last night.

Mariah and her husband Nick Cannon paid a visit to her mother’s jewellery store and happily posed for photographers outside.

The Heartbreaker singer was dressed all in white with a chunky knit cardigan and leggings.

The eight-month-old twins were outfitted to match their mother in cosy white knitwear.
Even America’s Got Talent host Nick, 31 wore a snow white jacket and beanie, his grey trousers matching the lining of the twins carriers.

Mariah and Nick wore matching tan boots for their evening stroll through the ski resort.

At midnight, Carey tweeted: ‘Happy 2012 to ALL! LYM4E to all TLITL! This is OUR YEAR! Me+My fam send U SO much LUV! I wouldn’t exist w/out you! GOD BLESS!’

She added: ‘Seriously,you guys got me thru a twin pregnancy,new holiday songs,and keep inspiring me to make U proud! I love and adore you.’

Mariah has been holidaying in Aspen for the past week with her family.

While she covered up last night, the singing sensation proudly showed off her post-baby weight loss in a skintight outfit the day before.

The Jenny Craig spokesperson wore a spandex one-piece ski suit that showed off her trim figure from every angle.

After losing 30lbs she openly discussed her weight in an interview with ABC News and the media pressure to shed the extra poundage quickly.
The defiant diva said: ‘If they want to rag at me for looking like a huge boat, like that wasn’t my fault, I couldn’t help it.
‘Carrying two human lives inside me and doing the best I could. What am I going to do?’

The Jenny Craig weight loss plan has definitely been working for Mariah Carey.

The 41-year-old singer showed off a slender figure in a one-piece spandex ski suit in Aspen over the weekend.

The Butterfly star has been vacationing in Colorado’s chic ski playground to the stars with husband Nick Cannon.

It was quite clear that Mariah was not going to let the plummeting temperatures ruin her fashion sense.

It is debatable whether or not the black and red and white-trimmed bodysuit shielded her from the freezing Colorado cold, but she did pair the look with a puffy vest.

She completed the ensemble with furry black boots, earmuffs and fingerless gloves.

The musical diva showed off just how much weight she’s lost since the April birth of her twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

The songbird squeezed into the tight number after losing 30 pounds with the Jenny Craig weight loss system.

She made an announcement in November that she would be the brand’s spokesperson.

She openly discussed her weight in an interview with ABC News and the media pressure to shed the extra poundage quickly.
