Feeling EXTRA Sorry For Mariah Carey
Sat, Apr 30, 2011
I seriously am feeling extra sorry for Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon. It must really SUCK to have the world awaiting the birth of your children, dem babies. With fake reports swirling of “Mariah in labor” or “Today is the big day” – I don’t think I would remain sane if I were her! I was thinking to myself how it seems she’s been pregnant forever, but then I slapped myself and told myself to get out of celebrity news and to think of her as a person. And BOY would it SUCK to have the world asking, “Is today the day?”.
That last trimester is a killer on most pregnant women. There is the extra weight you are lugging around. The belly that is constantly on the grow, in which everyday you look in the mirror and say “There is NO way I can get bigger”. To only wake up the next day to have a belly that is in deed BIGGER. And I recall the agonizing discussions and irritations with those well wishers, who most really do mean well by commenting on how “You look like you are going to pop”. Thanks.. not what someone who has 10 weeks left before the baby is due wants to hear!
So with that said, I can’t even imagine every tabloid, blogger and fan awaiting most likely the modern birth announcement, the tweet – announcing the birth of “dem babies”. It’s hard enough when it’s YOU, your spouse, family and friends wanting to know when your baby is going to arrive – but to have the world anxiously awaiting – uhm no thanks.
Best wish Mariah and Nick, whenever dem babies get here – I am avoiding the comment how you look like you are going to pop.

I can think of, but having a baby – or two, as in this case – is a unique and wonderful experience. I congratulate her and her husband – as I would with any new parent who is not an abusive drug addict or otherwise have issues which make them completely unfit to raise a child. To me, it seems that she has calmed down a lot of the last few years and found happiness, and I really hope the happiness will continue for the sake of the children. Congrats to Mariah and Nick.
