Diva Maria Carey is 38 but she has shed the pounds to take her back to the size she was when she was 16!

She told Oprah Winfrey earlier this week that she can now fit into her high school wardrobe. “My jean size went down to my 10th grade size,” the singer said on the show on Monday.

“I got tired of people telling me, ‘You need to lose weight,’” she said. “It inspired me.”

“For me, it’s not about a number on a scale,” she added. “It’s not about necessarily even a size. It’s about feeling good and being comfortable in your own skin. Right now, I feel really great. I feel better than I’ve ever felt.”

Earlier this month, Mariah Carey was spotted around London, promoting her new album E=MC2 and her new single, Touch My Body. Hundreds of fans turned out to catch a glimpse of her as she arrived for a signing session at Selfridges department store on Oxford Street.
