MC is performing at Madison Square Garden in NYC on New Years Eve. What a way to bring in 2010. I agree BC — Not bad at all. Keep the faith Mark. All we need is a 2nd smash hit like obsessed and the album will sell big again, especially if followed with a 3rd hit.

Wow NYE concert that would be awesome.. is it going to be televised like back in ’05 or private? I wish i could go if only she did it at the o2 in London lol!

My All / Stay A While — What a Great Remix. MC should televise at least part of the concert free to the 1 million plus people who hang out in Times Square NYC every year. Talk about increasing sales!!!

I saw about the concert on MariahCarey.com. You have to click on the article about her being on Ellen today and Larry King. Then click on local listing times for Ellen. Then scroll down for awhile and you’ll see the advert for MC performing in NYC at Madison Square Garden on December 31st. This New Yorker is TOO excited

It’s like the PERFECT way to bring in the New Year. I wonder if the tickets are going to be like super expensive though? I don’t think I care either way. It will be my 5th MC concert.

I love the idea of Mariah doing a world tour, finally. But will she be willing to spend that much time on the road? Or is she just gonna do a two-three month world tour, covering only perhaps a few major areas? I was really hoping for a world tour which would bring her to places all over (sorta like the Charmbracelet Tour) including Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Dubai, South Africa, Japan, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, Finland, UK, France, Germany, Russia, Greece, Spain etc etc!!

No doubt the song is great and her vocals amazing. It will reach top ten and maybe even #1 with good promotion and an awesome video. In the end, Mariah has been waiting to realease this song since before the CD came out. She really loves it. I really hope the video is going to be one of those classic MC videos (like Honey, My All, Heartbreaker Remix, We Belong Together) that you just can’t stop watching.;0)

It’s Official — MC is doing Madison Square Garden on New Years Eve. It’s posted at MariahCarey.Com. I guess it’s time to rejoin Honey B Fly for advanced ticket purchases.
Wonder how much money I’ll be losing but I don’t even care. This is beyond perfect. I hope she televises some of the concert for the general public in Times Square and those around the world watching Times Square on TV. Lets hope this concert is the launch date for a world tour with lots of stops and locations. On a more personal note, it means alot to fans in NY that she is doing this for her hometown. Your the best MC

Well i think it is going to be the start of a world tour.. i mean she hasnt done one for 3 nearly 4 years and the fact she’ll be doing a concert NYE plus the 4 vegas based concerts i think she is testing the waters.. and as theres been great response to each i think she’ll be persuaded to tour!
This is so great.. finally get to see MC back in action for the first time in 6 years
Lets just hope H.A.T.E U brings her loads of success c’mon lambs lets unite and request request request!
It has the makings of a typical MC smash.. a great love song, a great urban remix, a great dance remix and of course a video by Brett Ratner!!
And i agree w/Jason, even though im not from NY per se, NYC has always loved MC and its good for her to show some love back!!

Well, airplay is the same than last week, actually it was a little bit higher 2 days ago. I don’t understand why some fans think this is going to be a smash. It has been proven more than once that singles with slow tempo and whispery vocals don’t work well for Mariah. I’d love to be wrong though, but for me, after the success of Touch My Body and Obsessed, the best choice for second single was UOMF. It’s funny, catchy and full of “anthem like” sentences…
As for the concert, I’m full of envy for every New Yorker haha.

I love MC with every fiber of my being but I do not think H.A.T.E.U will be very successful at radio. Prove me wrong! I sooo want to be proven wrong! I just heard the Inseparable remix with Trey Songz and I must say it is sub par even for Mariah. This era is a bigger hot mess than the last but I still adore you MC. Good news about the NYE MSG concert!

I think so too. I like HATEU, but Up Out My Face should have been the next single. Out of all the songs on the album, it really has the most radio presence.

Inseparable (Trey Songz Remix) is kinda boring. I don’t like it at all.
I actually don’t like not one remix that leaked off the “features” edition. It won’t do anything on the charts.
I know everybody has their vision of what she needs right now, but I honestly think she needs hot NEW SONGS for the special edition and include JD’s “100 Percent” on there!

As much as I’d love for her to do a big, worldwide tour I don’t think she will. She will focus on getting pregnant after she’s finished with the singles of the album, and honestly she’s not in a position to wait. Let alone if she wants to have two kids (that’s what she said on the B.Scott interview). So I don’t think she will tour. And H.A.T.E.U will make top 30 at best. I’m being realistic here.

I do like the idea of an up-tempo single next but no way that should be UOMF, i think Standing O is a much better choise then.
Anyway, for now i hope H.A.T.E.U. will be a smash in the US and IWTKWLI will be big here in Europe. And for next albums i would prefer a more mature Mariah, like you can hear in some songs on Memoirs like Angels Cry, H.A.T.E.U., More Than Just Friends and
Inseperable. I feel she should leave the “girlie” video’s and lyrics (like UOMF) behind her since she is almost 40. Maybe focusing on ballads will not give Mariah more number 1 singles but i think the album sales will be great after making a clear musical choise.

Just read about Betcha Gon’ Know above, i’m so surprised about that one, a mystery indeed. For some reason i have a feeling that there is something wrong with registration of these downloads. Hope that those should not have been counted as album sales or something.

)), but yes, I cannot wait for the more mature Mariah to step in. I want her to be as amazing as she was on TEOM. I still play that album not skipping a song on there: great lyrics, strong vocals, amazing producer lineup… She pleased the older fans and the youngsters out there.
this album and the previous one are… I dunno how to describe them… fast food Mariah albums, you know…
It’s not this whole big dinner with wine and dessert, but rather a BigMac with fries and coke. not that there’s anything wrong with a big mac, but it is not very filling or healthy or memorable.

It’s really a mistery because I can assure BGK is not among top 1000 songs at itunes, and it isn’t charting high at Amazon either. It has a total of more than (supposed) 70k downloads, at this rate, it could surpass IWTKWLI in a matter of weeks.

To me, Universal messed up the whole E=MC2 project when they released “Bye Bye” as second single. Everybody was anticipating Migrate, it even charted on the hot 100 when the album was released but they chose that slow,personal and whispery song (and they’re repeating the mistake once again with HATEU) having so many better options. It’s a shame masterpieces like Side Effects or Thanks For Nothing weren’t released…

They are playing the heck out of the HATE U remix on The Heat ( Satelite radio) just like they did with Obsessed early. So maybe this a good sign. I do love the original, but if they are going to play the remix, I will be fine with that.
