Brazil’s got a gigantic population, do we know if she’s having good sales there?

That song had to be a hit somewhere, its too good to be ignored and tossed to the side like they did here with it in the U.S..
I guess Brazil really wanted to know what love is!
heres hoping it stays on top for 20th week!

At least Brazil has good taste when it comes to music and ballads
If Mariah did this in the 90’s it would have been HUGE in the states but I guess people like to hear songs by people who can’t sing LOL

I believe UOMF will really take off and I hope it creates momentum for Angels Cry and 100%. God knows we need some REAL BALLADS on radio!!!

P.S. Mariah’s take on IWTKWLI was brilliant — It’s a shame that people would rather listen to half the crap that’s played on radio.

Brazil seems to have great taste in music lol.
Mariah’s IWKWLI is #1 SO many weeks there.
Rihanna’s wonderful song Te Amo went #1 there also and it wasn’t even a single.

I was wondering guys / gals - do you think mariah’d be nominated for a grammy for this song? Despite its subpar chart performance in the States, you’ve gotta admit her delivery here blew everyone away. The critics were raving about the song when it came out, both in the States and the UK. Do you think they’d still pay the song its due credit during the grammys.?

@ obsessed fan
if the grammys did not pay mariah her dues with masterpeices like we belong together, one sweet day, fantasy, hero, my all,ect they will no do it with this song, there could be a slight chance she will be nominated but she wont win, im not trying to sound mean or anything but we have been through this 18 yrs with the grammys, they always screw MC over.

Will everyone watch Rihanna’s “So Hard” video and look at the champagne bottle. It looks like Mariah’s champagne…

Memoirs sold aprox. 38000 copies so far (which is good)
But the song is also available on the International Soundtrack of Viver a vida, the most popular soap opera at the moment, and I believe that album is probably selling better

Victor,
Thanks for an idea of the numbers MOAIA has sold in Brazil. I had wondered.

does anybody noe the chart position for UOMF on the hop r&b and hip-hop charts for this week?
February 10th, 2010 at 9:12 pm
u r welcome Marc, and just as an extra information, The Ballads sold the same
maybe I shouldnt say its good, because it could be a lot better, but its OK for someone who never came here on tour, plus the general sales are lower every year as we see
