I already read that AC is a big hit in South Korea and the Philippines, it’s clear that Asia is very loyal to Mariah.

@wbt: entonces cual te gusta ?
Japan always support her music… she should start to promote the singles…

Mariah is the biggest international artist in Asia.

@Jeff why is that sad? We shld be happy for Rihanna! She’s a fellow labelmate. And… it’s only her 6th #1. Mariah has triple her haul! :-p
Rihanna took 5 years to collect 6#1s. Mariah took 3-4 years! Hahaha!

Billboard issue dated March 27, 2010
Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel
Billboard 200: #135 (Last week: #127)
Sales this week: 4,611 (-9%)
Total Sales: 454,969
Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums: #28 (Last week: #29)
We didn’t get figures last week for issue dated March 20, 2010 but we did get figures for March 13, 2010 and if you do the math this means that for issue dated March 20, 2010 Memoirs sold 5,077 units.

I remember back during the TEOM days, 5000 copies would hardly guarantee u a place at the bottom of the Top 200 chart! How times have changed!
March 18th, 2010 at 9:08 am
It’s only going to get worse too as CD purchases decrease and individual downloads continue to increase. We should be lucky Memoirs is still even being purchased.
March 18th, 2010 at 11:45 am
Yeah its quite incredible that Memoirs is still selling even after its total abandonment from the label. Just hope that it would stay at the charts for so long that it would eventually be certified platinum at the end of the day.

Weird how a silly Mariah song (UOMF) is a big flop while a just as silly Rihanna song (Rude Boy) reaches #1.

@Ben I so totally agree. And talking of silly songs, ain’t tiktok and blahblahblah even more silly?!
