Mariah Carey apologises for arriving late to LA Angels Advocate gig

Mariah Carey may be a legendary pop diva, but even she said sorry for showing up over an hour late to her Angels Advocate gig in LA.
It’s not like a diva to say sorry.
But the unthinkable has happened – Mariah Carey grovelled on stage to fans after they booed her for showing up an hour late.
Mimi publicly admitted she was a ‘tardy’ lass after finally turning up to her last Angels Advocate gig in Las Vegas.
As the crowd rounded on her, the 39-year-old claimed she was poorly. ‘I’d like to apologise for my tardiness,’ she said.
The diva explained she had needed to see her doctor before performing. ‘I was very grateful I could get some sleep and we could pull it together. It’s not so glam when you’re coughing and sounding like a frog at 6.30am,’ she added.

Yea, it gets old the whole “sorry I’m late” diva pull. I was at the first Chicago show… I absolutely LOVED it, but she didn’t start for almost 1 1/2 hours after the “start of the concert.” Diva or no diva … you don’t see one of the U.S.’s most glamour divas, Ms. Renee Fleming, arriving late every night for her soprano roles at the Metropolitan Opera.

Yeah, I rather tired of this whole diva act she’s become wrapped up in. You do not proclaim yourself to be a diva, one earns the title from others, and it can have good or bad connotations.
You do not hear the great operatic sopranos or the great women of
Soul and R&B refer to themselves as divas!! They achieve it through
their work, and the certain aura and mystic they build around themselves.
I love Mariah, but she certainly doesn’t have much mystic!! People loved her much more when she was a little humble. She’s to full of
herself these days.
No one earns the title of diva by saying you’re eternally twelve, unless your name is BABY JANE!!

OMG as in Oh My God! MOAIA went up to #66 on BB 200 this week (last week #124) and it’s one of the biggest sales gainers…

Maybe start supporting Angels Cry from now on? And i don’t know why MOAIA took this great leap but I’m sure it has nothing to do with UOMF, which has just dropped out of the Hot 100 after just one week at #100.

By the way Whitney’s album is no longer at the charts because of that bad kick off of her world tour in Brisbane.Too bad, I also love her second to Mariah.

DAMN! Memoirs took a 58 spot leap on the BB 200. That’s great news. We need some good news to cheer us up! I don’t care why it increased but I just want MOAIA to hold on in the BB 200 until AA. This made my day!

Great increase likely due to the last 3 shows in big markets. On a side note, I find it odd the media takes issue with MC calling fans “lambs” but doesn’t take issue with Gaga calling fans “little monsters.”

MOAIA will still be at the charts when AA comes. So there will be 2 MC albums in the charts. Who knows IDJ might just end up to re-release a double disc Memoirs with the remix CD (AA)since its still doing good on the charts and at the same a stand alone AA CD.

I don’t think they will do that but nice thought. We still don’t know if AA is coming out March 30th because of what MC said during one of the concerts. Also, the Jumpsmokers remix album has been pushed back to June.

@MCboo how did you know the jumpsmokers remix album has been pushed back to June? I have always thought that the jumpsmokers remix CD will be featured tgtr with AA. Hmms.

I have it on good authority that the Jumpsmokers remix album has been pushed back to June but I cannot divulge more details so I won’t draw the ire of the label. All I can say is it will not be packaged with Angels Advocate come March 30 and if you don’t believe me then check your disc the day of release.

i don’t want them packaged together. honestly….i could give a rats ass about the JS album. i haven’t really likes their remixes of the
album so far.
also….keeping it to 1 cd will make it more affordable. IDJ doomed
the project before by tacking on that second cd of Obsessed remixes
and making it more expensive.
with album sales being what they are in the current economy, you have to watch costs. that extra few dollars makes a huge difference!1
