Dublin’s hit music station, 104 FM, has reviewed Mariah Carey’s “Bye Bye.” This is what they have to say about the single release: 

Mariah’s new “E=MC2” was released mid April and to be honest hasn’t really made a huge impact until now. Her second single Bye Bye rumoured to be about the death of her father is typical Mariah showing the world what an amazing voice she has. The song has universal appeal and although nothing is a sure bet, I’d say we’re looking at Mariah’s nineteenth no 1.
