In September Mariah Carey posted a picture to her Twitter account ( @mariahcarey, 5 million-plus followers) hinting that she was back in the studio with Jermaine Dupri. If the song backing her new Jenny Craig commercial is any indication of the direction of the new album, expect another winner from the best-selling artist of the Nielsen SoundScan era.

The writer of this Billboard article is a joke.
1. Do they not know the background music in the Jenny add is 20 years old? It’s “Make It Happen.”
2. Mariah is NOT the Best Selling Artist in the Soundscan Era, as THAT honor belong to Garth Brooks with ober 68 million units sold.
3. Mariah IS the Best Selling FEMALE in the Soundscan era.
It irks me when people who get paid to write this stuff are so inaccurate.
Facts, just the facts ma’am.

Nick Cannon stated that Mariah would have an album out in 2012, Mariah stated the lead single ‘save the day’ would be to raise money for charity. Nick and Mariah stated the album would be inspired by her first 3 albums (which includes the song ‘make it happen’ featured on Jenny Craig which is rerecorded/remixed btw).

if i read “slayriah” one more time….it’s like the lamest possible nickname anyone could come up with and yet for some reason everyone’s using it, it’s neither clever nor does it make any sense so for god’s sake please stop using that lameass word!!! sorry just had to get it out of my system, hope the new album rocks….
