Mariah Carey’s 100% not part of Precious Soundtrack?

According to Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411, Mariah Carey’s 100% is no longer part of the “Precious:”
Mariah Carey continues to be a good sport about “Precious.” She will do a live concert at 10 a.m. from Central Park this Friday for “Oprah.” Winfrey added her name to the film, along with Tyler Perry, after it debuted in Sundance to give it higher visibility. But Carey has been plugging away for a while on it, even recording a song for the movie. Alas, Winfrey pal Mary J. Blige got the title song honors. Mariah is non-plussed by the whole episode. “I’m going to use it for something really good,” she told me, putting a positive spin on the matter.

im so disappointed, this could have been her chanced again to perform at the academy awards night. i find it so un-fair that there is no mariah track on the precious soundtrack where she is also part of the cast…. hmmpppp

She is still acting in precious! I guess you can’t have both! + Mary J Blige has added a higher finish to the film with her song & being another star on board

Mariah, if you can read this, i’d love for your a special 20th anniv album release next yr featuring your best songs and unreleased tracks and title the album “100%”

They should still include it in the soundtrack at least!
I mean you can have more than one theme song for movies, cant you?

I think the song will probably appear on a 2nd release of Memoirs.

I’m inclined to agree with Ben that it’ll be on a re-release of Memoirs but I also think it was shitty for them to cast her aside for MJB but it’s all good.

Yeah I think it will be included in a repackage or reloaded version of Memoirs. Its surprising though that its not even included in the movie soundtract, it doesnt have to the theme track. Although I also like MJB because she loves MC. I remember MJB cheering backstage while MC was performing “We Belong Together” and “Fly Like a Bird” at the 2006 Grammy. She was shouting like “Go Mariah Go!!” That was sweet. And when MJB accepted her award that night “She said lines like “Mariah I dedicate this to you because I love you” then MC stood up and clapped. Sweet…right people?

I can’t belive it… EVERYBODY wants mariah’s songs… I can’t belive they don’t want 100% It’s a beautiful song…
It’s not gonna be in the soundtrack… and It’s not gonna be in the album… so where is gonna be that song?

Very disappointing… Why????? The director said he wanted she was noticed by her performance, but this was a very good chance for her to matbe nominated for the Oscars!!!
