Mariah Carey’s H.A.T.E.U Video Premiere’s TODAY

New premium music video site VEVO.com is set to launch today, December 8th with a coming out party in New York City that includes Mariah Carey taking the stage to premiere her new video, “H.A.T.E.U.” The video for “H.A.T.E.U.” was shot last month in California by renowned filmmaker Brett Ratner, whose videography with Mariah Carey stretches back more than a decade, to 1998’s “I Still Believe.” Along the way, Ratner has directed videos for Mariah including “It’s Like That” and “We Belong Together” (from The Emancipation Of Mimi), “Touch My Body” (from E=MC2) and, most recently, for her platinum selling # 1 single “Obsessed” (from Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel).

umm idk but that video was ok, i mean i thought it was gonna be longer and she cut off the second verse. wow im disspointed, what happen to the scene in the airport? I give up, i hope the remix LP will be handled differently.

Ummm… LOVE the last 30 seconds cause I really felt the emotional aspect of it … But the rest… I don’t know what to say… I mean, the part with the white bathing suit? Running in a black bathing suit? Being the WHOLE time 1/2 naked in a bathing suit? I mean, I LOVE the hair and even love how different her face looks… almost like really good acting. But the rest, I’m almost embarrassed and I’m sure it’ll be all over blog pages before you know it… Perez Hilton, etc, etc… :*(

I Agree i mean i expected much more, at first your like, ok mariah looks hot and are expected to see more but is just her in the beach, what happened to the Airport scene? I don’t feel theres a story to it.

Ugh, I just HAD to watch it again and recomment… Its like… UGH, SOOO much potential. I mean, fine, do the whole stupid beach n’ bathing suit thing (AGAIN, and AGAIN, and AGAIN) but damn, add a man to the video or play a scenario of a couple with two different people… and that’s to say the least. The airport scene? What, it was deleted?
So tell me, Brett, how did she get to the beach? Who got her inspired/unspired to get onto the beach? She has high heel pumps in her hand so I’m assuming she was there with a guy all night and he’s no longer there? lol… I mean, COME ON … NO concept to a song that actually has a concept.
Dear MC - We, your fans, love you to pieces, but there’s comes a point where we simply have to let you justify things for yourself. There’s only so much the fans could do to help push this song/video…album. The video for IWTKWLI was uninspiring, this was LYLT part 2 … After the same gimmicks didn’t work for E=mc2 (songwriting wise, look wise, promo wise), why would a label and artist spend so much time and money on the SAME THING?!
Someone’s dilusional… so confusing yo… girl, you’re wasting our time lol…kidding. But seriously, as a FAN I feel like I’m getting punked…wait… is MTV about to knock on my door and tell me I’ve been getting punked by MC for the past two albums?!
At the end of the day, I love ya MC … but I love my mom and sister, and if they pulled s*** like this they’d be hearing it from me as well.

One final comment… I think I figured it out. Hear me out people cause this is the best hypothesis I can come up with:
Just like CB era, this isn’t doing that well and the promo/videos and overall aora (is that how you spell that)is lacking in artistry and inspiration… SO, she’s purposing trying to “sink” b/c a comeback in 2-5 years would be so much of a hype (like Whitney or MC back in ‘05… or Cher when she released “Believe” and taht album sold ca-billions) … I don’t know. It’s the only thing I can think of. That, or our girl is literally having another breakdown and she’s dilusional … which would explain why she would give the final OK to these concepts and these final products.

I haven’t seen the video yet, but I’m sure I will be disappointed as well. Here’s the concept for this song. Video starts up with Mariah and her love interest( a hot man) getting into a fight and breaking up. Then the video shows her upset and showing images of them two together. ALL WITH HER CLOTHES ON , and not on a beach. Mariah is soooooo pretty with clothes on. I can see her walking thru Central Park, or thru the airport like the previous pics that we saw. The beach thing is getting a little old. Lets see how the general public thinks. Are lambs truly embarrassed by the video ???

I’m so sad… I love this song… but the video sucks… and they made the song just 3:12 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…. when the song is 4:27— One minute les..

What a waste. Honestly, she has gone nuts again and LA Reid lost any business sense. Why ruin this song with such awful video? This era is done. I want to hear remixes album but it won’t help at all.
The ONLY good thing about this era sucking and her popularity declining is that if she goes on tour, there will be plenty of GOOD seats available at reasonable prices. However, I am pretty sure that if she goes on tour, the tickets won’t sell well which will be all over the media.
Whatever, time to put some clothes on and rest your vocal chords and go and have a kick ass tour for your fans. It’s the least you can do after delivering such shitty embarassing videos and promotion.
