She was admitted to hospital on Sunday after she started having contractions.

And now Mariah Carey’s husband Nick Cannon has sparked fresh speculation that she could be about to give birth.

On Wednesday, the TV host tweeted that he was on a flight to New York and was “praying” that his twins wouldn’t “pop out” before got home.

He wrote: “On a plane back to NY. Praying Dem Babies wait for DADDY to come back b4 they pop out!”

The couple enjoyed a whirlwind six-week romance before marrying in 2008.

They are expecting twins – a boy and a girl – within two weeks.
