I don’t think it’s the worst received. I remember people were positively vicious towards most of the GLITTER album. And anyway, is it too much to ask us as lambs to support a song because of the message and because it means a lot to Mariah? We are a very fickle bunch of fans, we lambs are!
I’m sure she knew this song was not gonna be huge smash. It really has no pop appeal at all, strictly urban and rhythmic vibe, and the pop genre is where you need to be to get the huge sales.
I have to say that I am really disappointed in her fan base that they moan and cry for her to record something, and then bitch when it’s not custom tailored to our specifications.
I love it, have downloaded it again and again because she recorded it for us, just like her last album.
For it to have only 23,000 downloads in it’s first week is shameful, and all the people who call themselves fans need to shut the f@#* up and buy it! That’s what fans do.
From visiting this site and others, I’ve come to realize that Mariah has the shittiest fan base of anybody and I’m tired of their constant whining.
Even this site has been really quiet since the release. No comments, no support for Mimi. I only hope the people who need to read this, do.
