Mariah Remix Album On The Way?
An Australian fan asked Mariah Carey about releasing another remix album:
Lauren:Mimi I know u will be busy with babies but can you please release a new album in 2011. Maybe a remix album with Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel remixes please.
Mariah: I definitely want to! The remixes will come out just 4 the Lambs soon too

Mariah needs to chill for the rest of 2011 and come back Spring 2012. No point in release remixes from an album the public largely ignored. If it’s just for the fans, fine, but that aspect won’t matter to the media when it underperforms.

Love Mariah, but she definitely needs to chill and relax and bask in mommyhood for a couple of years. I definitely want to hear the remix cd. She did say she would give it to the fans and what a gift that would be. But she really should step back from music. I want whatever she makes, but it would just be nice to truly anticipate it further into the future.

I agree. A large part of Mariah’s latter success in music has come because the public CRAVED her. The public craved TEOM and wanted to see her back on top. The public even loved TMB mostly because of the video, so she needs to make the public long to hear her again. The hardcore fans, well we always want more MC all the time, but if we want albums to get beyond GOLD we need public support.

I think it would be a good thing not to release an album before the end of 2013, as much as i love most of them, 13 studioalbums and (at least) 6 collections may have been a bit too much in 20 years.
Maybe it’s time to go for more quality instead of quantity?
These days a new Mariah album is only special to a (decreasing) number of loyal fans…..
