Nick Cannon: Mariah And I ‘Plan On Having Kids!’
Thu, Mar 11, 2010
When do YOU think these two lovebirds should start building their family nest?
While Mariah Carey may not be pregnant YET, she and hubby Nick Cannon are definitely talking kids!
“Family is important to us. We plan on having kids in the future,” the 29-year-producer raved of his wife of nearly two years at the APCH Stars & Strikes celebrity bowling and poker tournament in Los Angeles March 10.
Children seem like an excellent idea for these two, especially as they seem to be so completely in love. While Nick simply smiled when we asked if babies were on their way ASAP, he did gush how beautiful his wife is.
Although he joked that Mariah, 39, would need two weeks to prepare for the Oscars, he told us it actually took the songbird “twenty minutes” to get ready because, “she’s so beautiful, that’s all she needs.”
Everyone altogether now: awwwwwwwww.
But just how has this A-list couple managed to have such a successful union? “Marry your best friend,” Nick advised us.
Hey Nick, you didn’t mention in order to have a happy marriage, you also have to carry your wife’s mints (and pocketbooks) as we’ve seen you do on several occasions now. That helps too. Just sayin’.

I Think Is time for Mariah to settle down and have kids.
She should leave this project behind and Have a Family and then In 3 to 4 Years Comeback with a strong record and make History Again.

I’m fed up with all these baby talk.
If you are pregnant then that’s amazing, if you aren’t then STFU Nick & Mariah!

I am also tired of hearing about baby talk. This is one of the reasons her career has been derailed as of late. Nick needs to STFU and Mariah needs to sing, promote or go home!

I agree she should decide what is she gonna do… if she is gonna have childre then she should stop releasing singles and albums…
and if she is gonna continue with her carer… then mariah please promote your singles and albums…
just decide…

I just adore the idea of a baby Mariah. Wonder what the pipes will sound like LOL

Honestly, it would be the most wonderful news ever if she had a baby but until that moment arrives Mariah please talk/focus on your career.
And that applies to Nick too. Love him but sometimes I think he should finally STFU about the baby talk.

March 11th, 2010 at 4:45 pm

Now that Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” is out nothing Mariah does will stand a chance. Sad!

I’d just like to know how we went from 6 million to 1.3 million to 450,000 in 3 albums. Was TEOM just a fluke?
March 11th, 2010 at 5:24 pm
@Jay Real version of Inseparable? With new vocals?! Alright, that sounds cool! Care to share?
March 11th, 2010 at 5:28 pm
The reason Beyonce won’t deut with Mariah is because she’s savvy enough to know that no one will care as of now, so she teams up with Gaga because that’s who everyone wants to see right now. That’s smart marketing!

Sami,
I suppose we could come up with many explanations; however my guess would be the following. When TEOM came out, IDJ promoted the crap out of it, hailing it as “the return of the voice”. I think they captured peoples interest. From that point on, promotion has been minimal. MOAIA deserved so much more than it got in terms of promotion. They should all be ashamed of themselves at IDJ.
March 11th, 2010 at 5:34 pm
@ jason but yet mariah has not done her part, she has not even mentioned her new singles anywhere.
March 11th, 2010 at 5:41 pm
So it seems people pretty much think IDJ and Mariah failed the fans in terms of promotion and single choices which accounts for the decrease in sales for the last two albums?
March 11th, 2010 at 5:46 pm
@ Sami
I think that Mariah messed up E=Mc2, she got married and then Just stopped all promotion, bye-Bye had a chance to hit the top 10 or even top 5 but she just gave up on the project.
Secondly I think IDJ messed up memoirs, they did not back mariah up 100%, But Also Mariah’s Lack of promotion was another key point in the failure of this era as well as promoting precious while she was suppose to promote memoirs.
March 11th, 2010 at 5:47 pm
@Jeff
While that might be true, I would ask, “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” LOL Perhaps they just thought that MOAIA would take off b/c of the success of Obsessed. Who knows at this point.
March 11th, 2010 at 6:03 pm
I think Mariah messed up E=MC2 with the marriage and bad single choices. I think IDJ and Mariah messed up Memoirs with releasing Obsessed too soon to iTunes and IDJ not promoting and MC being too busy with a film she was only in for about 10 minutes.
IDJ and Mariah deserve these flops so they can take a long hard look at themselves and wake the eff up.

Gaga’s Telephone video has debuted and the world is buzzing. Mariah is gonna really have to step up her game as far as videos and songs if she wants to stay relevant in the next 2 years. Gaga has changed the game on everyone.
March 11th, 2010 at 10:48 pm
Something tells me it’s going to be a very rough next couple of years for us MC fans but we can get through the rain.
March 12th, 2010 at 10:17 am
Nick already told that a few times before.
