The Sun: NICKI MINAJ’s rant at MARIAH CAREY on American Idol didn’t impress EXAMPLE.
He said: “I’ve met Minaj. I’m not a fan. I don’t think you can be that much of a diva unless you’ve had loads of massive tunes.”

“In ten years, people are going to be struggling to remember anything Minaj has done except her verse on Monster.”

Example has firmly placed himself in Team Mariah, telling us that he’s not a fan of Nicki Minaj, and that she hasn’t had enough big tunes to be classified as a real diva.

As we reported recently, Nicki Minaj was caught on camera clashing with rival American Idol judge Mariah Carey whilst recording auditions. When asked his opinion on the fall-out, Example explained why he’d be on Mariah’s side, saying:

“In 10 years, people are gonna struggle to remember anything Minaj has done except for a verse on Monster”
