POP diva Mariah Carey has called off her lavish wedding, apparently because no magazines are willing to foot the bill.

The singer and her new husband, Nick Cannon, married secretly in April, in a small Bahamas ceremony.

Carey planned to have a multimillion-dollar ceremony, including dozens of bridesmaids, later in the year.

“The small wedding in the Bahamas was nice, but it was not Mariah’s style,” a source close to the singer said. “The lady loves a spectacle.”

However, things did not quite go to plan, with no magazines showing interest in buying exclusive photos of the event.

“Mariah was willing to pay for the wedding but the way she hoped to pay for the wedding was through the sale of photos.”

A Carey assistant reportedly sent out more than 100 emails to her friends, letting them know that she’s registered at designer store Bergdorf Goodman if they want to buy her a wedding present.
