It’s pushed back two weeks so that she can get off tour and properly promote it!
Otherwise no one would even know it’s released. This is good news… not the beginning of March can be Memoirs month!

C’mon folks — The single was pushed back so it only makes sense that the album would be pushed back too. Mariahs got a crazy schedule right now. Between the tour, the movie, and the album, I’m sure that she just wants to make sure the album is perfect. Who knows, maybe we’ll be surprised with an extra song or two as well. I’m looking forward to the release of angels cry as well as the album and it’s fine that it’s pushed back. MC is still one of the hardest working musicians out there

If their promotional plus for Angels Advocate (and their choice of singles and thought/efforts behind the music videos) is going to be the same as MOAIA, then it doesn’t really matter if its realized Jan 9, Feb 9, or Mar 9th … Now, if they plan on actually working it properly, then its smart to push it back to when she’s off tour.
Playing ‘devils advocate’ for the Angels Advocate release… I know that we are assuming an excuse of allowing MC to be off tour so that she can promote it, but do we know of any appearances where she will be promoting this? Let’s not forget that when a singer is on tour, they usually get to hit the big radio stations in that city AND get press coverage in that city’s local news … Also, considering that LA is set for Feb 23rd and her next show (also in CA) is on Feb 26th, this gives her a few days to work the LA talk shows. The only other thing would have been to be in NYC, but that’s only if she had something booked within those two weeks that she is still touring… late night shows, GMA, Today, Regis & Kelly, z-100, etc, etc.
Sorry to say this, but I think we are making an excuse for the delayed release date that would make sense, but it may not be the case. Let’s not forget that her FULL-TIME job at the moment is being a singer, however, admist being on tour, she still finds time to attend events for her role in PRECIOUS and Awards Shows… Capri, Palm Springs, People’s Choice, etc, etc.

It seems that UOMF remix will be the single to promote the remix album instead of Angels Cry feat Ne-Yo. I think it’s a good idea.

I think the whole drunk speech scandal might have actually had a somewhat positive impact on sales, considering at the moment there is no single or anything to promote it (aside from the tour)
It’s funny that her last single barely got any views at all on youtube, yet her being drunk on stage gets almost 2 million views in a week
Oh and personally i think UOMF is better as the promotional single for the new album, Angels Cry in my opinion would have flopped
