scan no 7 of Mariah supposedly writing down the lyrics and thinking of a next rhyme goes on my nerves so much.
she did it for “Can’t take that away” and it looked awful (with those big fake tears) and she did it for another snoozefest single “Bye Bye” also with tears and it didn’t work well and here she is again…
anyhow, all the people who think this video is going to epic and comparing it to One Sweet Day… what’s up with that??? no it won’t be epic. epic requires a concept and a budget OR it requires chemistry like Mariah had with Boys2Men. She was beautiful in that video and honest and cute. She’s just faking it here, judging by the stills. And she fakes it a lot nowadays.

the album has 2 nw single ok, one is somple and the other is glam so im loving it… mariah isnt really the type of a video artist, she;s more on the music and the voice, just bring down the 2 song’s mc, i just hope its really a remix album with all new vocals.

This isn’t the 90′s you can’t get away with away with a ‘studio documentary’ type video anymore nowadays, and especially not when it’s for the single that’s the last shot for a flopping album..honestly what the hell are they thinking, if Mariah running around half naked on the beach for HATEU didn’t work then what the hell makes them think that Mariah in pyjamas looking chubbier than she ever did is gonna work…that’s what you get when you ask an idiot to direct the video, he doesn’t come up with any good ideas so he decides to go for this crap…and then he goes calling it “simplistically genius”…
and to all the ass-kissers above who keep writing “i’m sick of all the negativity” crap, you seriously need to grow some balls. If you saw your best friend running around making an ass of herself would you just stand on the side and say “i support her no matter what” or would you do something about it? Cause any good friend would do something about it. Well this is no different, just cause you voice your honest opinion doesn’t make you any less of a fan, on the contrary it makes you a better one cause contructive criticism helps a lot more than fake ass-kissing. The difference is Mariah Carey is not your best friend. This is the problem, everyone thinks that they can critique the hell out of her because she owes them some sort of friendship. We are fans because we like the music, period. Mariah Carey will never be coming to your house and watching TV with you.

-Vision of Love, Emotions, Love Takes Time, all of these videos were not anything exciting but the song was so good it didn’t matter. Trust that Angels Cry featuring Neyo will be good enough.

@ S you got a point there but would it be more sensible if we wait for the final video to come out and judge? On the best friend thing. For example, someone told you that he saw your 17 years old best friend with an older man, is it right to speculate that that man could be her lover and you will say yucks she is dating an old old man! That could be her dad! Not right, you should wait and talk to your best friend and know what’s the real deal. That’s the same thing too as judging by the stills only.

We as fans of this site can not be reduced, without independent look, do not you understand different opinions, I found the observation of @Tobby and @Dubai the most ridiculous, of course it is our close friend, the more we as fans have the right to like or not and commenting on the attitudes of Mimi, if the clips were formerly successful it is worth remembering that it was another time, we are in a time when innovation is not looking back, Mimi does not innovate ever, is not like Madonna, Beyonce has always been reeinventa, why not attract new LAMBS. Opinions are good if it varies from positive to negative. I mean if you see something good, you have to say your opinion as you do when you see something not good. But with S, Jeff, and the likes they only post negative comments. Did you ever see them post in good articles about Mariah never right? They should have said at least “Im happy for Mariah” but never. They are only waiting for something that they consider bad then that’s the time they post their shit comments.

Before everybody blows their lid, you have to understand that certain people’s frustrations come from the desire to see MC succeed and stay above the rest and you can’t knock people for their love and concern for MC. We are concerned because we want to see this project succeed but judging strictly by the pics, the video doesn’t seem to be appealing. True, we haven’t seen the video but the pics sure leave alot to be desired. Plus, this video is the one that is supposed to launch Memoirs remix? MC in the studio in her pajamas with her hair pulled back? NO, NO, NO. These days, the game has changed. Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and a few others have upped the video game now. These days, people’s attention spans are short so you have to capture their attention quickly. Judging strictly by the pics, this will not be visually appealing. Thats my 2 cents and can’t nobody put me down for stating my opinion. At the end of the day, I will support MC, Im going to see her in Vegas but I’ve invested alot of time and energy into watching her career succeed and I don’t want her to fail.

I like Neyo’s look outfit wise, and I think he looks classy on the piano. I would have loved for her to have her hair a bit more like her duet with John Legend and a completely different outfit…basically a bit more classy and elegant. She’s wearing PJs with her hair tied back, while NEYO looks like he’s about to go out lol… I mean, it just looks odd, but maybe this is just a small piece of the video. I’m not feeling her her urban look when they’re under the rain, but maybe the cameras will perform a miracle with that look lol. Would have preferred something a bit more like the look she’s got for the NBA promos, but maybe that’s just me liking her pop/mainstream look versus the “never works” ultra urban look (just my opinion). She looks REALLY good in her NBA promo, I think, and it reflects the way people remember Mariah at her biggest peak (its like Nostalgia). I mean, maybe its just me but this song is a bit more pop/ballad-like than an urban/true r&b track.
I guess what people are afraid of is her continued image and mediocre performance (sales, chart, artistry wise, videos, etc). You have epic Mariah from the 90s where she was the queen of POP music with urban/r&b influences, and then it seems like she went “underground” and into the rhelm of r&b, but at times in a very mediocre/non-epic way (e=mc2 music, CB, some of Rainbow, etc)… BUT, last time I checked mainstream urban/r&b is in no way an underground genre lol… at least not any more. You can still be r&b and hold a bit of artistry… ala John Legend, Alicia Keys, etc… As a fan, I am sick of songs like Touch My Body, Lovin’ You Long Time, Loverboy, Shake It Off … all of this was after epic songs like Vision of Love, Love Takes Time, Fantasy, One Sweet Day, My All, Honey, Make it Happen, If It’s Over, The Roof, Breakdown, Emotions, Anytime You Need a Friend, etc, etc. We get every once in a while stellar songs like (again, my opinion) Ribbon, For the Record (one of all time favs of MC and EVERY non-MC fan that I play that song to actually wished she would have released it), Circles, We Belong Together, Fly Like a Bird, etc, etc, etc… BUT, half of them aren’t released and the ones we get are the crap songs like Touch My Body and Loverboy.
Mariah needs to be a DIVA in an artistic way … THE voice, the glamour… As a fan who bought her first album the week it came out, and with the except of her first concert, I’ve been to ALL… I think I have every right to give my full opinion… ESPECIALLY when she hasn’t had the best of luck recently due to either bad promo or, simply put, ‘ok/mediocre’ albums. I’ve given enough $$$ to the woman lolol… It’s almost like a stock and I’ve got a few shares in the company hahaha…

I am excited. I think both songs will do well. The key is radio. We will have to request, request, request. I think Angels Cry with Neyo will be exceptional ! I think the words and the concept of the video showcasing two of the best song writers is great. UOMF is going to be a hit, especially on BET and urban radio. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, and mine is that I feel good about 2010 for MC ! She will rock ! Merry Christmas lambs !!!!

Hey candy bling … I understand your frustration with fans, but the ones who support her EVERY move are the ones that are always saying that the ‘haters’ (or perhaps just the more opinionated fans)will be eating their words. BUT, they said it for Bye Bye, Lovin’ You Long Time, I Stay in Love, IWTKWLI, HATEU… I mean, its like a chain reaction already. You get 1 hit (TMB) and then 3 flops … one song that doesn’t reach #1 but performance great on the charts (though its like the song has completely stopped playing because I NEVER hear it) and then 2 flops… and if the formula continues, the next single will flop. Let’s hope there’s a lose chain somewhere and that her luck changes.

Paul 212, how old are you? I guess you are old enough to understand the meaning of a debate. A debate is a discussion between affirmation and opposition meaning one is pro and one is against. That is applicable between fans of 2 opposing artists. But in here, we are all fans of one artist that is Mariah. So a debate is not applicable because we should all be on the side of Mariah.A discussion I think is more appropriate here so a discussion is the voicing of opinions at a certain issues – good and bad. But that is not happening here is there are people who are always waiting for the negative things to happen then they are out ther shouting how bad this and that is. But when something is good with Mariah they just shut their mouth and never commented so apparently these are not real fans. Personally I have opinions against Mariah but I had to do it in a way that reflects how I love Mariah not to the point of disrespecting her like some name-calls. I’ve read every single comment here and not one person has insulted or called Mariah any names, all they’ve said is that they were unhappy with the video or with the direction or whatever, and yet at every single negative comment you guys jumped and attacked whoever said it like they were committing a mortal sin or something.
Clearly everyone here is a fan, people don’t just randomly go on a Mariah Carey fan site if they weren’t real fans in the first place, so you two need to stop acting all self-righteous like you’re the only frickin fans here. For me, Mariah is not fake. She is the most genuine artist ever. I love her to death. I don’t mind what others are saying and every single opinion written in here doesnt matter to me at all coz all I know is Mariah is a God-given talent to share wonderful music in the whole wide world, and she inspired a lot of people through her music and by her personal story. And I know there comes a time that she will leave this temporal world like all of us. The thing is she will leave a lasting legacy behind. But us? what shall we leave behind as a legacy? I have high respect for musicians specially those who are writing and making their own music like Mariah because I believe this is a gift that has to be appreciated no matter what because in composing music, heart and soul are being poured to come up with these music. When can others appreciate her music that she really deserves? When she is gone?
I love you Mariah and thanks for giving us such wonderful music. Even if you will be 75 years old and Im the only one remaining fan and you decide to put up an album, I will still be buying your music. God Bless YOu and I know for sure that you have great faith in God!!
