Mariah Carey Connection

This is the moment French waiter Fouad Djaoublia left the X Factor judges in hysterics as he performed his rendition of Mariah Carey’s Vision of Love and Hero.

The 25-year-old catering assistant, who moved to the UK six months ago to pursue his dreams of becoming a singer, seemed to warble his way through the songs making it hard for the judges to understand him.

However, despite not winning over over the judges, Fouad gained the support of the crowd as they helped him out to sing Hero.

After his performance, Simon Cowell told him: “Most amazingly, this lot were singing along with you. It seems this lot or me are mad and I can tell you, I’m not the mad one.”

But Fouad was having none of it and told Simon: “Sometimes you’re wrong!”
